In this directory, you will find an upgrade_supervisor_database program from your operating system. This program will prep your supervisor's database for the upgrade to 6.5. Upgrading to Qube supervisor >= 6.5 (from a version < 6.5) makes changes to the database tables for all jobs in the database. For farms with thousands of jobs, this can take a *VERY* long time - from minutes to an hour or more. We *strongly* recommend that those customers having several hundred or more completed jobs in their queue run this upgrade_supervisor_database program PRIOR to installation. This command-line program can be run on an active farm with little or no impact on performance. Once complete (which may take from minutes to hours, depending on queue size) continue or restart the installation process. During install, you may get a warning message about the need to run this pre-installation program. If you have already run the program, ignore it and continue. If you have less than a few hundred completed jobs in your queue, there is no need to run the upgrade_supervisor_database program. If you perform a 6.5 supervisor upgrade on a busy farm without first running the pre-installation program, you MUST allow the install to complete - which could take from minutes to hours with little to no feedback.
